Ubuntu 16.04 wonky updates

So I upgraded to 16.04 not too long ago Ive seen some bumps in the road so far but now I am seeing weird issues with updates

W: http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/Release.gpg: Signature by key 4CCA1EAF950CEE4AB83976DCA040830F7FAC5991 uses weak digest algorithm (SHA1)

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Now Ive not added any repo except the chrome repo the sources.lst file is pretty much default
The Gui comes up and says there are updates available but then fails I then have to go into the CLI to force an update GRRRRRRRRRRR!

  1. I have since fixed the issue by removing the links that are having issues in my sources.list file

  2. I have been less than impressed with the quality control on this latest release. 🙁
